I’ve been systematizing businesses since 2022 and teaching in the field of Mnemonics, the science of memory since 1989. Mnemonics teaches us how to learn information by using a systematized approach to learning…as we are taught what to learn and what to remember, as opposed to, how to learn and how to remember.
My transition into working with SYSTEMology was natural, having taught systems for the Mind and now an opportunity to introduce a systemization process for small businesses. Stress is the biggest enemy of our mind and body and is noted as the number one reason for employee absenteeism. Most stress in a work environment is about either not knowing a job function and having to figure it out or a time constraint on job completion where you have to figure it out. As the business owner you need to remove the hats of responsibility and document the critical knowledge to pass on with consistency, yet always looking to optimize.

As you can imagine, this question is a difficult one to answer. All businesses are different – from the level of products and services offered to the size of the organisation. That said, typically a business can see the positive impacts from the systemisation of their business within as little as 90 days.
While it’s important for the business owner to begin the process, it is really the team who will carry this process through to completion. The SYSTEMology process was actually designed for your team. Accordingly we recommend businesses have a minimum of 3 staff and getting them all involved. That could be full timers, part timers and/or contractors.
For larger teams, include your leadership team and department heads to drive this forward.
