I help businesses overcome the natural awkward stage of key-person dependency with a blend of SYSTEMology, software integration and applied psychology. While systems and technology are a must for modern businesses, they are still primarily groups of PEOPLE. I bring the much needed experience in supporting change management (otherwise known as helping people successfully navigating change).
I have been creating business systems for over 25 years and I’m formally trained in psychology. During the first 15 years I was embedding those systems in desktop and cloud software. The (business) world has changed dramatically since then, and now there are so many software solutions out there that small businesses should avoid developing custom software, unless it’s absolutely core to their business model. For this reason, I pivoted towards tailoring existing software systems to the needs of businesses AFTER first identifying their existing procedural systems. The truth is… no app will save an poorly designed business process or a team that is resistant to change.

As you can imagine, this question is a difficult one to answer. All businesses are different – from the level of products and services offered to the size of the organisation. That said, typically a business can see the positive impacts from the systemisation of their business within as little as 90 days.
While it’s important for the business owner to begin the process, it is really the team who will carry this process through to completion. The SYSTEMology process was actually designed for your team. Accordingly we recommend businesses have a minimum of 3 staff and getting them all involved. That could be full timers, part timers and/or contractors.
For larger teams, include your leadership team and department heads to drive this forward.
